Harmony House Interiors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented fulltime Sales Associate to join our team in the heart of the Methow Valley.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you will guide homeowners, contractors, and architects through our curated selection of flooring, window treatments, and countertops. In this role, you aren't just "selling product"—you’re a consultant helping neighbors develop their dream spaces. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, creativity, and interpersonal skills to meet the diverse needs of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Consultation: Greet clients in our Twisp showroom and provide expert advice on materials, durability, and aesthetics.
Site Assessments: Travel to client locations to take exact measurements, review existing conditions, and coordinate installation details.
Product Expertise: Maintain broad knowledge of our inventory and stay updated on industry developments, installation details, and current design styles.
Estimating & Quotes: Be proficient reading plans and quantifying measurements to perform "take-offs". Convert them into accurate digital or printed cost proposals.
Project Coordination: Act as the liaison between the client and our installation teams to ensure a seamless experience from purchase to install.
Network Building: Promptly develop rapport with local builders and architects to grow a network of contacts for repeat business and referrals.
Relationship Management: Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
Showroom Excellence: Keep the showroom organized, update samples, and ensure displays are inviting and professional.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years of construction or sales experience; flooring or window treatment industry experience is highly preferred.
Sales Acumen: Proven ability to close sales and meet performance metrics; this is a commission-based role requiring proactive outreach.
Design Flair: An eye for color, texture, and layout, with a background in interior design or home improvement, is considered a major plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic math (calculating square footage and waste factors), reading blueprints, and using computer systems.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to talk comfortably to everyone from first-time homeowners to professional builders.
Requirements: Must maintain a current driver’s license and auto insurance for regular travel to client sites.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
